Various types of timber from stock, planked and seasoned on site.

We have a large selection of timbers available from stock, and the access to more from our trusted suppliers. These can be supplied cut to size planed, sanded and finished to your specification.
Some of the locally sourced English Hardwood timbers we have in stock are – Oak, Ash, Beech, Yew, Lime, Elm, Cankered Ash, Silver Birch, Spalted Beech, Sycamore.

The available softwoods are Redwoods, Cedar, Accoya, Imported timber, Bubinga, American Oak, European Oak, Sequoia. Also a range of heat-treated timbers.

Other wood products consist of – Sheet materials, including Plywoods, MDFs, Veneered boards and Melamine-faced boards. Plus we have structural timbers and decking.

Circular Ash slabs and Monkey Puzzle, Chilean Pine, Araucaria araucana. Used for furniture and turned objects.

Stock Timber 6 Yew

Yew, Taxus Baccata, English or European Yew is really a softwood but it is so hard you wouldn’t think it. Good for turning but care is needed as it can tear. The colour is beautiful and it is a very strong wood.

Stock Timber 5 Lime

Lime, Tilia Europaea, European Linden wood, The texture is fine, the grain is straight and the wood cuts without tearing.

Stock Timber 4 Cedar

Western Red Cedar, Thuja plicata. Naturally durable, ages to a silver-grey. Good for outdoor applications.

Stock Timber 3 Ash

Ash, White Ash. Fraxinus americana, Good strength and quite bendy, used for furniture, boats and tool handles

Stock timber Birch

Silver Birch, Betula pendula,  Air-dried seasoning. Fine and even texture, good strength and great for bending. Boards tend to be relatively narrow due to the trunk sizes. It is often used in the unseen parts of joinery.
